Biography

Alan Ingram is an education consultant and has state and district level experience in educational leadership, executive coaching, team development, principal pipelines, program implementation, and strategic partnerships.

He served for three years as Deputy Commissioner at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and previously served for four years as Superintendent of Public Schools in Springfield, Massachusetts. He has similarly provided program leadership in a variety of roles in Oklahoma City Public Schools and served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant before retirement.

He holds a Doctorate of Education in Education Administration, Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma, Master of Arts from Webster University and Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC).

Alan is also the past-president of the Board of Trustees for Learning Forward, the only professional association devoted exclusively to those who work in educator professional learning.  He is sought as a presenter at state and national conferences; and is a Broad Superintendents Academy Fellow.
