Dr. Alan Ingram
Dr. Alan Ingram is an education consultant and has state and district level experience in educational leadership, executive coaching, team development, principal pipelines, program implementation, and strategic partnerships.
He served for three years as Deputy Commissioner at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and previously served for four years as Superintendent of Public Schools in Springfield, Massachusetts. He has similarly provided program leadership in a variety of senior leadership roles in Oklahoma City Public Schools and served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Chief Master Sergeant before retirement.
He holds a Doctorate of Education in Education Administration, Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma, Master of Arts from Webster University and Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus (formerly UMUC).
Alan is also the past-president of the Board of Trustees for Learning Forward, the only professional association devoted exclusively to those who work in educator professional learning. He is sought as a presenter at state and national conferences; and is a Broad Superintendents Academy Fellow.

Lisa Ummel-Ingram
Lisa Ummel-Ingram is an accomplished educator, consultant, and retired English Language Arts (ELA) specialist who has spent her career driving instructional excellence within the Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) district. Her professional foundation was established during an eleven-year tenure on active duty in the United States Air Force, where she specialized in personnel administration.
Following her military service, Lisa earned a Master of Education degree from Oklahoma City University (OCU). She began her pedagogical career at Wheeler Elementary and has since instructed students across grades 3 through 8. As a specialist in classroom innovation, educator mentorship, and ELA curriculum design, she leverages her extensive classroom experience to develop robust professional development frameworks. Her expertise as an Instructional Coach is defined by her ability to engineer inclusive, high-performance learning environments and foster empathetic organizational cultures.
A twice-renewed National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), Lisa is dedicated to creating intellectual environments that encourage lifelong habits of mind. Her instructional methodology is deeply rooted in the principles of the National Writing Project and the Oklahoma State University Writing Project, through which she has consistently sought to advance the teaching and acquisition of writing skills.
Throughout her tenure, she has distinguished herself as a prominent teacher leader. Her leadership portfolio includes roles as Grade-Level Team Leader, ELA Department Chair, and mentor to early-career educators. Furthermore, she has served as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University, where she mentored aspiring ELA education majors through the Methods of Teaching English curriculum.
Lisa’s career is marked by a profound impact on both students and colleagues. Beyond the classroom, she continues to provide strategic advisement to institutions on teacher retention, curriculum implementation, instructional coaching, and community-building initiatives, ensuring her expertise continues to shape the future of education.
